Rotary presentation
I gave my first Rotary presentation this Thursday to the Rotary Club of Cuernavaca Obregon, which meets at the Hotel Raquet Club in the northern part of the city. Everything went smoothly and the Rotarians seemed interested in what I had to say about the lack of news coverage of Latino communities in the U.S. My classmates and fellow Rotary scholars Sheila and Rachel came along to watch, and Michelle also gave a presentation.
After the meeting, we continued chatting with a few of the club members at a nearby bar. It wasn’t really a place meant for dancing, but we danced anyway. One of the Rotarians even sang along with the guitarist, which we all found highly entertaining.
I think some cities may cover more than others. And Latinos publish their own newspapers too in many cities (including ours).
