Before the adventure starts…
Welcome — or should I say Bienvenidos? – to my first ever blog. I’ll be using this site to tell whoever is interested about my experiences in Mexico.
If I’ve told you about this blog, you probably already know that I’m taking a break from my job as a reporter for the Charlotte Observer this summer, and heading to Mexico for some cultural immersion and language classes. I’ll be representing the U.S. and Rotary International through the RI Cultural Ambassador program. This site will be fairly quiet until I leave in July, but I may post some entries as I prepare for my trip.
I’m looking forward to reading your comments and emails while I’m away. Even though I can’t wait to explore another country, I know I’ll miss all of my friends and family at home. Stay tuned.

I hope you dont mind but I gave my friend Susan Isaacs your log info. She has been to Costa Rica many times.
